Tech Friday: Part 3
ZUNE So I’m one of the two Zune owners out there… which is a shame really because they are nice players. I know the world runs on iPod/iTunes, but I think there’s room for both. Most people are turned off by the looks of a Zune… It just doesn’t look cool. I actually like the way mine looks with it’s slightly transparent frosty look. And if you give the Zune...

Tech Friday: Part 2
HULU Next up. Hulu Desktop. Now we know why Hulu didn’t want Boxee to have integration… because they want their own client. This is more useful for those that have a computer hooked up to their tv and can use a remote, but even for those without that setup, it’s pretty slick to use. Although for FOX shows you are still better off watching it on their site since it streams in...

Tech Friday: Part 1
ANDROID For anyone running Android (mainly G1 users right now), the new cupcake (1.5) build has gone live. Some have gotten the update over the air, but for those impatient like me, it’s pretty simple to do it manually. Download the update from http://android.clients.google.com/updates/partner/signed-kila-ota-148830.de6a94ca.zip Rename this to update (don’t change or remove the...

I'm not the only one...
Article at io9 about how watching Terminator: Salvation just makes him miss The Sarah Conner Chronicles. Spoiler heavy for both the show and movie though. Well… at least I still have Fringe… for now. We know how trigger happy they are at FOX.

Terminator: Status Quo
Sorry there haven’t been updates recently. Works been busy. I did however get a chance to see Terminator: Salvation. Decent, but ultimately flawed. It was fun watching explosions and robot fights, but the movie didn’t really evoke any other emotion than “Ohhh splodey!” In case it wasn’t obvious… Spoilers ahead. ************************************* John...

No justice for smart Sci-Fi
Well it is official. Terminator: The Sarah Conner Chronicles has been canceled (or “not renewed”) by FOX. I should have known that it was just too intelligent to survive. Though the irony here is that it probably didn’t get the audience it needed because people assumed that it wasn’t intelligent. In my opinion, it actually surpassed the movies with the ideas it brought into...

It's been a good week for J.J. Abrams
LOST wrapped up another season fantastically, Star Trek is a huge hit, and Fringe is getting another season. And I’ve gotta say. I have really been enjoying Fringe. It might seem kind of crazy to say this, but I’ve almost been enjoying it more than LOST… I heard the gasp… let me explain. LOST is great. I love the show and can’t wait to find out what they have in...

It's also Trek Friday today
An oldie from SNL William Shatner SNL skit Get A Life 1986-12-20 And because I’m more of a TNG (The Nex Generation for the non-trek people) fan… I shouldn’t have to explain this… but that was edited footage. ……………………………………..________...

I am geek
Tech Friday continues. As anyone who watches The Big Bang Theory knows, techie endeavours trump just about everything to a geek. Just recently the story of the Windows 7 Release Candidate going live (as in, available to download) was more popular on Digg than pictures of Megan Fox from her senior year in high school. This was funny, but not surprising… well maybe a little surprising....

Boldy going...
You know… it seems like pretty much everyone has seen the new Star Trek. All I got so far was a huge spoiler during Fringe. Aside from that, I have heard that it’s quite fantastic and entertaining… dammit. Trekkies Bash New Star Trek Film As ‘Fun, Watchable’

We lost a good one today.
NBC’s Life has officially been canceled. The series finale did a good job of wrapping things up, but it’s still sad to see it go. It was refreshingly different and fun to watch, but no one really knew about it. While the finale didn’t leave any questions unanswered, it still left me wanting more because of the characters. Well… so long Charlie Crews. I’ll miss your...

Have you heard about this whole swine flu thing? Apparently it’s bad… nothing like the regular non-swine flu which only kills about 36,000 people a year in the U.S. That’s not at all as much as 1 death so far… Scary. Do you have Swine Flu? Click here to find out.
